“Metallica-Whiskey in a Jar” Print of an Amalee Original

$75.00

If you love or know someone who loves Metallica, you will want this print.  It is 16.5 inches by 12.5 inches on watercolor paper.  These handmade, signed prints are collectables.   In the near future I will have a several different sizes of this print printed on print on demand.  The print on demand prints will be cheaper but will not increase in value like these artist prints offered here.

Any collector would want a numbered print in a limited addition of 50, with the artist signature.   The paper is Hahnemuhle’s William Turner 310 grams Matt fine art paper, printed with archival inks. I will print them as the orders come in so the date of production will also be written on the back with the signature.

This painting of Metallica is fun and kinda raunchy, just like “The Whiskey in a Jar” video.  I love the close up of James Hatfield.  He looks sweet.  I like the contrast of a sweet singing metal singer.  I painted the drummer  Dave Mustaine, and bassist Robert Trujillo early and liked my renditions. It took me a long time to get Kirk Hammett, in the way I liked. In one version he reminded me of Picasso, however it seemed a little blue period so I tried again.  While I liked the idea of a depressed version of Kirk Hammond, it did not seem to match his Metallica Persona so I went back into the video.  And found a version that captured his happy, cocky attitude so wah la it was done.
