One of my favorite songs is her version of Gloria. It starts out slow, methodical and rebellious and then goes off the hook. You can tell she is a poet in the way she uses words. Funny or embarrassing thing I always thought that she wrote “Smells like Teen Spirit” and Nirvana did the cover. Okay So I am not a true music aficionado, I just love and envy musicians. They have to bring their talent out in front of people, and bring it. While it does sometimes create addictions, I still envy the Zen of playing music. And Patti Smith in her early days kinda just ripped out poetry.
