Joan Jett- Painted on three canvases to show the sassy talent of this rock icon. I painted this with an air brush. I have been playing with the air brush. I am kinda a weird artist as I just love the act of painting so sometimes it takes me months to come up with the final painting. But with this painting of Joan, she just appeared with her kick-ass attitude.
I sometimes ponder the fact that I could lower my prices and if I did this regularly. However I really enjoy the slow paint too. I think sometimes I need the slow paint to formulate the fast paint. I mean I did have tweak the body to make it fit the three canvases in the cool fashion that it is. Usually I will use a paint brush to adjust the little things that bug me. Mostly because the airbrush is a bitch to clean and I have to do it fast.
Air brushing makes me think of Mohamed Ally. Jab and punch like a bee or whatever he said. It is fast and furious and if I slow down the airbrush gets blocked and then it is an hour of taking it apart. So I guess both air brush and brushes take time it is just airbrush is half cleaning.
