I did this New Moon Ritual on a new moon lunar eclipse. My intention was to be well paid and recognized as an artist. Within a week I received a commission. My friend wanted me to paint a Hawaiian flower painting for his Hawaiian house. So I threw myself into it as I enjoy a challenge. I painted this one first. I textured siding board with Sheet rock tape and then painted it in acrylics.
The first one inspired the next one of Birds of Paradise. Then two more. At which time another old client contacted me about another commission on stone fruit. So I am now painting more Textured nature paintings and enjoying it. These two flower paintings look great with the large artichoke painting in the parlor of the Academy.
